I'm back - was missing in action b/c I couldn't convince my lazy butt to get out of bed and work out last week. So here's a summary of what I did accomplish...
3.17 - Swam (2200 total)
600 Warm Up
8X50
400, 300, 200, 100 - increasing speeds as distance decreased
2x100
Quick cool down
1:03 - 500 calories, HR Max 168, Ave 148
This was my first work out since being sick but it felt good.
3.20 - Ran
Ran from the house to the middle school and then on the path to the big dead tree and fence (I know that means nothing to you, but I'm trying to track for increased performance on future runs).
1:00 run - HR Max 173, Ave 157 - 557 Calories
3.21 - Bike
Did the bike on my trainer this morning. Did some hill intervals and some sprints. Also did the dreaded pyramid and some hard core hill climbs.
1:00 - 448 Cal - HR Max 176, Ave 145
Started looking at the Tris that I want to do this year. Tim is doing some too and we've talked about doing one in Steamboat. There's a sprint level in July and an Olympic level in August. So tempted to challenge myself with the olympic - 1.5 mile swim, 40K bike, and 10K run. Can't quite decide.... FIgure I'll get some more swims in and see what my thoughts are in about a month....
